I saw the R-1511/GLQ many years ago in surplus. It was brought to my attention because I collect countermeasures gear and GLQ falls into this category. IIRC, these were used by ASA out of Vint Hill Farms and the intention was pre-detection recording of the downconverted signal onto "wideband" reel-to-reel instrumentation recorders, like used in missile telemetry, to allow the spectrum of the signal to be preserved, allowing later analysis by playback into various demodulator hardware. Later, CEI & Watkins Johnson made more advanced versions of this equipment type. I also see a photo from the USS Pueblo that shows anSP-600 looking radio in the rack where they say an R-1511/GLQ was.http://jproc.ca/pueblo/02_radio_special_printer.htmlhttps://i.pinimg.com/originals/5a/d0/a8/5ad0a8915eb2c6e64e791a6fa224d1ff.jpg Anyone have more info?
