[Milsurplus] what the heck is this? WW2 Navy

As a complete aside to this... The movie Destination Gobi with Richard
Widmark featured that rig along with a TBW and RBM rcvrs set up in a tent
there to do weather reports. They operated the gear like its meant  to be
used even running the 115vac 800 cycle generator.
 Someone did their homework on the radio end of this movie.
