Aha, the situation  is becoming more clear.
* Both Navy and Army bought a variant. The Navy manual, maybe equivalent to a prelim, is actually a Tech Rad publication identified only by the contract number NXss-LL-23312.
( Nick, what category of equipment is 23 ? )
* The package transmitter – receiver is TR-50.
* The solo transmitter is T-50.

Tech manual is TM 11-838 if that's any help. Stand alone version is the T-50M.
