Looks like the same panel size and some of the mechanical design was held. Certainly too expensive to build for war – expendable use in
vehicles or small vessels.

Check out this thread. Looks like the LRR-5 is similar to the receiver portion of the R-T set in your photo????

The window to the left is the actual frequency indicator, two bands 1500 – 4300 and 4300 -12000. Right above the tuning knob is a logging scale.
One the right side is a speaker with louvres. The receiver has a 6J5 HFO with VR105 regulator and 6J5 BFO.  Different from TCS.
