[Milsurplus] BC-1000 repair question

I took a preliminary look at the BC-1000 for which I have to replace one of the jack caps. How to remove
the jack fixing nut? Use some tool, like a long, narrow wall socket, to reach down into there? Like some
tool from a guitar maker supply ? Or what do you suggest ?
