Don't have an MAK manual, but may be similar to the 12A6 osc. in the TCS.
That one does not work well (or at all) with fundamental crystals over, 
IIRC,
somewhere around 2.5 MC.  It wants to double and triple to get to 80
and 40 meters and fundamental rocks in the 4 or 7 MC range won't oscillate.
Sorry I'm not near the manuals at the moment- someone will have the
reference handy.
