And NDB has a carrier and one or two sidebands. I believe the mode
designation is A2A.
I was thinking about this topic last night as I went to sleep and realized
that I was concerned about the consequences of a mis-aligned NDB in private
hands. Duh. You don't align an NDB; it's omni-directional. Also, I
believe there are (or were) active NDB that were privately maintained. I
had to reconsider Bob W9RANs initial post, and I think it's more reasonable
that I first believed.
