Subject: [Milsurplus] Midway movie snip
There's a remake of the Midway movie out now. I saw a review that rated it low, one star, for what another review called dialogue that is clche', even "corny".
Well, my review of reviewer is that they are often frustrated, would – be artists. I don't expect a newly discovered work of Shakespeare with every new movie.
I would judge it by coherent the storyline is.
The trailer I saw had graphics that, to me, were impressive. I like to capture the image, setting, feeling of the time, and this seems to do it.
Of course we fanatics will find errors and shortcuts
This radio scene has a British R-1155 aircraft radio and a Hallicrafters SX-25.
They should have asked somebody. Would not have been that hard, for a strong individual anyway, to place an SX-28 or RBC on the table instead.
