[Milsurplus] Testing Crystals

Initially, I was suspicious of this tester. I think I slightly still am, altho it does seem to be doing the job. I just checked a 100 kHz crystal on a board from a junked Sierra FSVM,
and it says 99.94 kHz, IN CIRCUIT. I think it's working reliably.

Hue, Here is what I would do. Use a function or signal generator and a scope. Set gen at 5 volts P-P and set to crystal frequency. If crystal is good you will see a jump in voltage at resonance if tests good. Always works for me.
