[Milsurplus] Navy MAK and the HY1269

I looked for the manual, but it's not in my residence, so it's been moved to storage, and this will have to wait until summer.
When I owned the set, I looked into tube substitutes, such as 807, but I don't recall at all my conclusions.

When this set was discussed here a few years back, a caution was mentioned. There was some kind of potential problem ( no pun ) at the power connector
under something like ? high modulation and ? maybe incomplete loading. The problem was arcing at the power connector.  Did this caution come post - manual
- publication and appear in that Navy volume on equipment maintenance and typical problems ? The same manual that has items like the TBX frequency range
increase ? Robert will know the name of that book.
