I found this article very interesting also. I posted this comment:



I have some security reports from a WWII military base in Florida. These mention fears about supposed influence of 'Japanese anti-war propaganda aimed at Negroes". The reference you give is the first I have seen anywhere else on this subject. Fear of enemy activity was high. The papers I have indicate that it was desirable to have one in 30 Army recruits reporting on the political reliability of their fellow soldiers. I really doubt many black Americans were listening to Japanese radio propaganda; probably a miniscule number. I believe black Americans in this era had less radio ownership, not to mention shortwave-capable radios.
