[Milsurplus] BC-654-A Worth?

I think I have a line on one of these that appears Well dare i say NOS! a local ham went SK and one of these was in a corner.
     I know nothing about them accept 3800- 5800KCs voice and CW at 17 and 24 watts are these able to be used on say the military radio net on Saturday mornings?they are asking about 225 dollars ...To much or should i close my eyes a grab it?no accessories or power cables is this a VFO or does it need crystals radio?.jim
