Someone who should know told me Uncle Sam paid $1000 each for these. I think you could expect the sensitivity, with the pentode mixer, not pentagrid as in most civilian products, should be high. I think the dial lamp dim control could be changed to a pot controlling a Q multiplier add-in without making anyone scream in outrage. I got rid of the HF RBMs but retained a few of the MF receiver for broadcast band DXing. Also tunes 160 meters. And the 500 kHz band.
