[Milsurplus] Beam filters question

Of the varieties of beam filters out there, which do you think is most practical to use just as a CW filter, not to particularly fit into a realistic setup ? Also a bonus if one model more than others is practical to open so as to lower the beam frequency.

In the distant past i used some kind of surplus audio, single freq filter with a TCS rec on CW, but that filter was so peaked it was actually real unpleasant to use.
