[Milsurplus] R-808 / GRC-14 Opinions ?

I have an R-808 and as I'm in downsize activity right now, I'm weighing, figuratively and literally, every electronics thing I own.
I think the R-808 has some obvious demerits:
1- weight
2- selectivity 3.5 kHz wide at narrow position  -6dB is not that impressive
3- tuning speed on high bands is not wonderful
4- some design items I don't agree with, like the low-impedance load on the mixer to the IF
5- ( almost a death sentence ) having to remove the RF section and IF section to do an alignment. I do feel obligated to inform
potential buyers of this bombshell fact.

I am sure that since the receiver looks more promising than it actually is, I will lose my shirt monetarily when and if I sell, as it will
go for a fraction of what I ( foolishly ) paid some years back.

What think ? Do the hard thing and face reality and get rid of it ?
I do have more interesting and worthwhile projects waiting, such as Eddystone 830.
