[Milsurplus] [armyradios] GRC-9 batt connector question

And weirder still, +6.3 VDC is only there when the radio is turned off.
Maybe there was a 6-volt coffee pot that could be run off of the GN-57 or
GN-58.

GRC-9 battery connector, on transmitter panel : why is contact "C" connected
to the transmitter +6 DC supply, via numerous switches and relay contacts ?

I don't see any note in the manual where you would input or output 6 volts
from this connector.
