Hi,

Do they have the pair of protective diodes across the receiver input? I
have had those do their duty protecting the front end by puncturing the
junction and shorting the input to ground. It is cheaper and easier to
replace the fried diodes that to repair or replace the front end of the
receiver. Have a look there when you find the schematics. Maybe you can
sort that out without the schematics. I found them on one radio without
looking at the schematics. They will be the very first the signal sees
when it gets to the receiver.
