One might wish to consider that, when making the 
TCS hack-job of forcing both 1625s on in AM mode,
one
is risking the modulation transformer and power
supply
for what will amount to less than one-half S-unit
of 
signal improvement on the receive end (and an
audio-starved
waveform).  That hardly seems a wise risk/reward 
calculation.  An external amplifier would seem 
a more logical choice.
