I would like to hear from anyone who has used, or presently owns, a BC-654 and what is
your opinion of this piece of gear.
Also, I wouldn't mind hearing any anecdotes about or from WWII users concerning the
BC-654 or equivalent gear.
This tyoe of gear always intrigued me.
Are there any other bits of equipment of similar type which would be better, or at least as
good?
I am particularly interested in man-portable transmitter/receivers covering any part of the HF
spectrum and which output modes of CW or AM.
I am sure there are many I have never heard of. So, enlighten me.
I own and operate an AN/GRC-109, if that helps. I also own the transmitter/receiver part of a
TBX-8. I have yet to put that on the air, but plan to get that done this summer if possible.
I did use an AN/GRC-9 when I was in the Army, but don't presently own one, and they are
much too expensive for me to buy at this point.
