What you guys don't get is, I do not have an AMT-3. If I had one, I would be highly pleased to put it thru its paces.
The Tele-Tech article has the code table. I think that is pretty interesting, look up the temp, humidity and pressure
by the letter code sent.
That would be one fine display.
I have this little flat Bakelite chassis about 3 x 5 inches, with about 6 parts on it. It's not the only one out there. So you really think
this part is that historically important ?
"Here is the oscillator section from an AMT-3 radiosonde." Fascinating !
But you can relax. I don't know where I have it anyway, and it was just a thought; I have too many projects anyway, and
need to prioritize them by how well they will really delight me, rather than what I "could" do, "could" restore or repair.
Tele-Tech and Electronics Industries magazines: I thought I had mailed all these to David Gleason ( friend tells me this is a
'stage name', but I don’t know that for sure ) at americanradiohistory.com But when I was closing out a storage unit
recently, I found 4 heavy boxes, that I thought at first were No.19 dynamotor supplies, they were that heavy, that actually
contained bound volumes. There are a few real interesting articles, such as a 2-part on the AMT-3, and a 2-part on guidance
systems for the V-2 missile. I think what I'm going to do is write Gleason and say, if I can get a straight answer on what I loaned
( loaned ) him, then I'll ship off these other volumes for him to scan. If the same no-reply nonresponse, then I'll think about
disassembling them for the articles I want to keep. Or maybe SMECC, it occurs to me ?
