[Milsurplus] Transmitter transformers - save or toss ?

I want to pose a question to the general vintage radio audience:
Are ( some ) high voltage, transmitter type power transformers worth saving, or not really ?
What brings this up is, I have a stack of 4 Northern Radio SSB radios from 1970s. These had 2 tubes
in final, and the ones I have are AC powered. The main power transformer puts out in SSB service,
700 volts at 400 mA ( that's what the manual says to tune the linear final for ), 150 volts for tube
screens, and 28 volts for the transistor stages. This transformer requires a rectangular cutout, or
some kind of standoffs to mount above chassis.
I think the number of people building tube transmitters today is vanishingly small and the number
building HV power supplies even lower. I do have other nice HV transformers in my "collection",
potted ones with easy chassis flush mount and 500 - 600 volts out with around 150 -200 mA,
which are good for many ham transmitters and ham or military mobile radios. Those I will keep
for now.
So as I began removing parts from this Northern power supply section, I began to wonder, is this
a fool's task ? Maybe I should extract a part or two, like the 12 volt relay and diode units, and
chuck the rest ? The transformers are heavy enough that I won't just offer to ship them off for
free, as the weight calls for more care in packing, more work.
So, thumbs up or thumbs down ?
( Yes, I do understand the actual Roman reverse-logic meaning of this gesture. )
thanks- Hue
