Bruce, seems uh, a little bit on the conspiracy theory side. Conspiracy theories can't be supported well.
I think most if not all, intercept operators were male. I think this can be documented. Women DID handle
some CW circuits, but a small minority of circuits. Women DID serve as radio instructors at military bases,
but I think Morse code instructors rather than theory or maintenance. I am happy to see any evidence new
to me.
Possibly another item of history that hasn't been explained well enough yet.
