[Milsurplus] TBY AC PS ?

Another TBY question: I can understand the AC-DC 115 volt supplies, for use on Liberty - class ships,
which maybe had a DC generating plant, but what about the AC - only TBY supply, which I have, built
by Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard? The text on the schematic indicates this this was not a one-off, it is
rather one of an unknown number built. So where would this have been used? Ships large enough
to have a 115 AC supply, those would instead use the TBS, wouldn't they? What think?
