[Milsurplus] PE-104-A Power Unit Vibrator Help

Carl,

The TBX power supply also has a 6 pin synchronous vibrator along with a 4 pin. I haven't reached the point of wiring it up. The synchronous vibrator is addressed in the VBx-1 Connections paragraph in the document previously sent. Attached is an additional document referencing the two diodes used in conjunction to replace a synchronous vibrator. See the lower right corner of the diagram.

I believe the Aurora Design VBx-1 Electronic Vibrator is only available via dealers. I purchased a couple from a local radio repair shop that specializes in vintage car radios.

Let me know if you are able to dig up any additional reference material.

  Thanks, Rob,
Where did you order your modules from? Here is the schematic for the PE-104-A. I am clear on the mechanics of taking the vibrator apart, and reconfiguring the existing unit, but I am not clear on the actual wiring up of the new modules to this kind of vibrator as it has 6 pins, whereas the examples I have seen are seven or four pin units.

    Carl,

Attached is the spec sheet I have. Not sure if it will be any help. Ordered a couple of these for use in a TBX 12V power supply, but haven't gotten back to the project. Will dig a little deeper to see if I have additional documentation.

Has anyone converted a Radiart VS-3 Vibrator used in the PE-104-A Power Unit of BC-654 Radio set to solid state using the VBN module?

I have been following this thread on the G503.com site http://forums.g503.com/viewtopic.php?f=36&t=205860&p=1708669#p1708669

My SCR-284 is working (for now) but I would like to convert that vibrator to solid state if any one could help with a wiring diagram.
