[Milsurplus] R390 Meter?

For those that might be curious:
The “390” (392?) meter reads .4 mR/Hr contact. I have an old 30s radio compass indicator that does a full 1 mR/Hr, but the “hot mama” is one of those “TUNE FOR MAX” meters with the glass missing. I have the hole covered with heavy clear packing tape to keep the dust out of the air. It reads 2 mR/Hr.
Some context from this ex-Nuke worker:
For the average person to show an effect from prompt radiation exposure:
Dosages are in Roentgen Equivalent Man (Rem)
• 0-25 No injury evident. First detectable blood change at 5 rem.
• 25-50 Definite blood change at 25 rem. No serious injury.
• 50-100 Some injury possible.
• 100-200 Injury and possible disability.
• 200-400 Injury and disability likely, death possible.
• 400-500 Median Lethal Dose (MLD) 50% of exposures are fatal.
• 500-1,000 Up to 100% of exposures are fatal.
• 1,000-over 100% likely fatal.
The little meter is producing about .004 REM/Hr. Not a danger unless one eats/breathes the paint.
