Interesting. It's odd though that they said a couple of times the pilots
weren't aware of the procedures for runaway trim. It's been a very deliberate
part of training for every small plane I've been in and is even part of some
checklists to assure that the methods work before leaving the ground. I find it
hard to fathom that a 737 pilot does not know how to do this.

P.S. Are the new automatic braking and adaptive cruise systems in cars leading
us all into such situations?
