Cheap? For either one? Not possible unless you happen to find one hidden away at an SK 
estate.

For one thing, there were only something like 1000 R-389s built, and all for the Army (why the 
Army, I never could figure out).

The last R-389 I sold went for something like $1500.00 plus shipping.

I had three at one time, and kept the worst, most incomplete, one of the bunch...and it is 
NOT for sale and never will be until after I am SK.

R-390s are also difficult to find. There weren't that many of them made.

R-390As are a bit more easily found, but still command a high price. Plus, you must replace a 
critical capacitor before you ever fire one up so you don't destroy the mechanical filters.
