Owning a TBX-8 transceiver (only: no accessories), I would have to agree. In fact, the
TBX-8 strikes me much as the Soviet SVT-40 semi-automatic rifle: too light, far too complex,
and inadequate in many ways to be even thought of as a "battle rifle". I own one of those
also.
I like the TBX-8, but would not even consider using it in a battle situation.
