[Milsurplus] Pogo stick at Guadalcanal

No.  Ihe Pogo Stick was used throughout most if not all of the Italian 
Campaign.  It worked much better than the other two portables.  The reason is 
easy to understand.  Its antenna is much longer than the one on the BC-611.  
And its ground plane is also much better, being a metal rod.  And it worked 
better than the BC-1000 because at 40 to 48 MC and with the short antenna, 
the latter is getting on toward mostly line-of-sight.  In the jungle, the 
BC-1000 worked OK with the range extension antenna (RC-292) but I doubt that 
they had any of those that early.
