[Milsurplus] NAVY RBG rcvr

A Navy RBG followed me home the other day. I have 3 other Hammarlund receivers... a pre-war SP-2XX, a post war HQ-129 and a wartime BC-779. Is the Navy RBG about the same as these other variants? I ask only because my others are 1700 miles away.
It looks basically the same as the others, but, the main tuning condenser is in a much smaller housing than I remember on the others. Also, it apparently has only 8 tubes where the others had many more + external supply. So, it appears to be made for lighter weight throw-away duty.
