[Milsurplus] TBW set

        The weight reduction in iron  when using 800 cycle is almost somewhat lost with the TBW as I can attest to.

Setting up the transmitter is almost like getting a BC 610 up on stilts ..though removing the radios from the cases before setting it up makes a huge difference.

25+ years ago I was corresponding with a retired Marine Corp Major that served in the Pacific Theater . He told me that when they were issued the SCR 299
the first thing he did was to ditch the TBW and the gen set but keep the RBM's as back up receivers along with their batteries. He said it took a lot of time to set
up the TBW and was cumbersome at best.

The pic shows the set up at the MVPA show in 2016...less gen set.
