In my high school days, back when Lincoln was still president, I used to listen with my TRC-2 receiver
to Seattle KOW2, 2522 marine operator. I eventually was seduced into trading the TRC-2 receiver 
section for a useless aircraft radio, which unfortunately guaranteed the demise of another scarce
AN/TRC-2. I think I had bought the transmitter-receiver from Pacific Surplus on 1st Ave., then 
Seattle's "skid row", for $15.
