[Milsurplus] The old 2 MHz boat channels ?

Were the frequencies actually changed? I remember when AM was forbidden 
and SSB became required, but did the frequencies change? The AM rigs 
were almost always  discarded  and many have been converted to 160 or 80 
meters.
