When I was a young pup, back in the
early 50's, a couple of school friends
of mine got one of these Transmitters,
the Modulator and all the cables.
They set up a small Broadcast station
in their house, picked a clear freq and
started to broadcast music. What did
they know about the FCC !!
They built up a following and made the
mistake of asking listeners to send them
a postcard, telling them how they liked
the program.
BUSTED !!
Since they both were 12 or 13, the FCC
Agents just gave them a warning and
confiscated all the equipment. They didn't
fare as well with their parents. They had
a tough time sitting down for about a week
or so.
True story, they were classmates of mine.
