[Milsurplus] Nice Hamfest Find: RBD

There is a serious shortfall of TCX to go with our RBDs.
I have a perfect RBD i bought around 1996 when i went to have a look at a BC-1306 i wanted.
I was quite surprised to see the RBD there also.
I wonder if this is a coastal thing; i mean, do the RBDs show up on the coasts?
I was living in Seattle at the time. I do know some mil-surplus equipment was sold close
to home and didn’t make it to mail-order resellers.
The right side of the TCX reminds me of a partial transmitter seen in some photo inside a
USCG aircraft. I’ll have to try to find that photo again.
