[Milsurplus] Speaking of BC-348s

I know I have seen the names of the mechanical and electrical designers but where escapes me at the moment.  Perhaps you will find your answers in the Antique Wireless Association's "Old Timer's Bulletin", Volume 27, No.2, Page 14 and Volume 27, No. 3, Page 30?  Both of these articles are several pages long and should be detailed enough to have what you are looking for.
AFAIK, the BC-224 was designed by perhaps GE but the Signal Corps tapped RCA for a re-design.  This is why the BC-224 series of receivers starts with the BC-224A.  Because of this, there was no previous designs either commercial or consumer.Jim

This recent BC-348 thread got me wondering,

Are there any civilian documents concerning the design of
this receiver? I'm thinking of internal RCA documents,
professional (e.g. IEEE) magazine articles, that sort of
thing?

Also, are there any names attached to the design
and redesign of the BC-224/348 family?  For
example, who was the lead engineer for the project,
either civilian or military?

And lastly. Given the fact that the RCA designed ARB
receiver was associated with a civilian design,  was there
a similar civilian design associated with the BC-348 family?

Just curious.
