The R-648 is a 500 kc IF radio. I have a number of ideas in
the back of my head to get it functioning, but still will be
on the lookout for the real thing.

Would take a bit of work being they are shaped different but IF deck 
from ARC-38 are a bit more common.

And I did find one those at Fair, missing the narrow mechanical filter, 
so it was pretty cheap. Bought it as a spare for my RT-311, and found 
the missing filter on eBay.
