Hmmm.....that's a possibility I had not entertained. My first thought was oh no, not another AC-DC transformerless. Believe it or not, I actually have seen one with a hot-chassis
B+ supply. But the rest of the tubes are original numbers. I think they just powered the tube fils on 24 AC.

>Maybe it was intended to operate from a primary power of 24 volts AC. I have seen this idea brought forward and will probably try it. The 240 to 24 volt control transformer from a central air conditioner would be a very available and inexpensive way to step the 24 volts up to make the B+.

The A.C. supply is has a much smaller transformer than the other BC-348 I have that has a non-hammy A.C. added.
In this one, there is a shield stamped with "INSPECTED BY ROK". There is a choke and a vertical can capacitor and
the rectifier is something like 25Z5.
