Adding to the confusion, we have the ATD and ATC being able to use 540-1600 kHz frequencies. And these were built in larger numbers than would
be required for interoperation with banana republic air forces. Then you have the GO patrol plane transmitter, whose LF range was 300-600 kHz
( ? approx. ? ), and did not venture into the broadcast band freqs. Odd, and I don't know how to explain this.
I do not think the U.K. used anything similar. Nor did Luftwaffe, from what I know of theirs ( FuG10 radios EL10, SK10 )
Japan, aircraft LF transmitters operated 300-600 kHz in torpedo bomber size aircraft up. ( per ONI directory. )
I think we'll eventually come up with some proof and concensus on this. Just requires more plowing thru the paper we turn up.
( No donuts, thanx. "Winner" gets a can of green tea. Actually, no winner or loser; if we figure this out, it's win-win. )
