These have been listed previously on eBay, evidently no takers. In a
discussion on another forum the following was posted by WA3VJB:

"TimTron on 3885 Monday night told me these FRT24s were part of a
going-out-of-business sale by Radio Associates (?) a Connecticut company
that used to be a reseller of govt surplus transmitters. They provided
several transmitters and drivers for WBCQ. Eight of the FRT-24 were AM,
but the others were configured for SSB. None are operable now. He said
the roofing shingles that I noticed were from a storage barn that had
collapsed."

Timtron of course being WA1HLR, chief engineer for WBCQ. Other comments
indicated that all modulation transformers and certain other parts have
been removed from all the transmitters, and the reference to a barn was
evidently this one:

I have no idea as to the veracity of any of this, just passing along
what has been said by others.
