I used an RAL-7 for my only station receiver for a period of at least 12 years from about 
1957 or 1958 or so. I loved it. Still do.

I traded a BC-348 with BC band ARC-5 "Q-5er" for it because the RAL-7 covered 15 meters 
and the '348 combo didn't.

The RAL-7 was brand-new when I got it.

I have several RALs now, but none on the air....yet.
