Dave, i know whereof you speak. I have been in both roles of this story, having both forgotten debts and having no response, in some cases, for something i sent that actually
cost good money + shipping.
My conclusions: 1- the river of time moves on at a steady brisk pace. You even see this in the news, world events; small but noteworthy events or changes sometimes make barely a ripple,
and are soon enough hardly known. ( But when you are in a suffering place, the river doesn't move fast enough, and you just have to tough it out, til that stretch passes. ) 2- No one is 100%.
People have their own problems. 3- We have to try to get to 100% in our lives. 4- If you give something, be okay with the fact you might not be thanked. If it's important you receive
acknowledgment ( and there's nothing wrong with that ), make some kind of provision for it. 4- Never loan books or money, unless you're absolutely comfortable with the fact you'll never
see it again.

Right now, i have 2 dead computers, that need the hard drives harvested, in the to-do que. One has the QTH of someone who kindly sent me a manual copy, and one has the name and
address of someone i was going to send more money to, as a bonus for something he sold me that i really liked.

Being that I'm a human being (and an old one now) and not an angel, I'm certain I have forgotten to thank someone or answer a question or something worse, probably many times. Life is indeed full to the brim of "noise" today and getting discted
is epidemic. If I have done you this discourtesy,
please know that it wasn't intentional; I don't know of anyone on here I intentionally ignore.
Please "poke me in the side" about it.
I promise not to forget again more than, oh, four or five times.
D.S.
