[Milsurplus] RCAF AR-2 Hacked?

As Meir noted, both the dynamotor and the mechanism for remotely operating
the band switch are missing. Also missing is the electrical drive for the
mode switch, (similar to the band switch drive) , the front panel power
connector (lower right corner), C70 (a large aluminum can capacitor between
the dynamotor and band switch drive) and the three locking screws/cams that
secure the radio into the case.

I have seen many of these receivers in similar condition. As well as the
aforementioned parts not being needed for local operation, removing them
gave significantly better access to the guts you would want to leave in
place. I have an AR-2 that appears to have never been used by the RCAF, the
front panel is absolutely perfect but unfortunately it also has the same
parts missing.

Happy tinkering.
