Thanks for posting the video of the Saufley destroyer.  It is only the second Navy thing I know of with the name Saufley, the first being Saufley Field where I went through formation, basic dog-fighting and cross-country flight training in the SNJ in 1955, and later was a primary flight instructor in the T-34B in 1956 through 1959.  Your post caused me to look up the namesake of this Navy ship and base.  Here is what Wikipedia has to say about it:

The ship and base are named after LTJG Richard C. Saufley, USN, Naval Aviator No. 14. Saufley was killed 9 June 1916 in the crash of a Curtiss Model E hydroplane, AH-8, off of Pensacola during an attempted long-endurance flight.
