[Milsurplus] workshop

Reminds me of my Grandmother's triple decker in Boston, a three story
house with each floor as a separate apartment. On the back of the house
each floor had a porch, they called it a piazza. Above the top porch was
a beam and pulley, that was to pull buckets of coal up for the kitchen
stove!! The house was built in 1900 my Grandmother was born the next
year, she told me they put convection heating in around 1915.

My shack is in my small one car garage that is attached to my house,
here in California not many houses have basements so it is the garage or
an out building.

 Enjoy reading the posts here.

Worked REALLY well! But to the whole point of this thread, fast forward
a few years later and that barn-door-thingy is blocked with shelves and
cabinets! I did make the shelves and cabinets all removable. But the
reality of moving all of that stuff to use the barn doors makes humping
new heavy things through the house look more desirable!

Ultimately, "radios and electronics are just like gases. They expand to
fill their container" (aka the Hertz Postulate (tm) )
