[Milsurplus] BC-312 I.F. can note

In identifying this lone unused "1st I.F. TRANS. " i have here, as being for the BC-312, i noticed inside it a 60K resistor, R38, across the primary of L29.
The manual describes this resistor as "broadens band width". I have never seen any article on this receiver which mentions removing this resistor,
but it looks like it could be done. There is not much room, and i did not do this, but it looks like with careful application of a long longnose plier,
you could flex the resistor leads until they break. Might be a simple change to get a little more usable selectivity on AM.
This resistor R38 is shown in the IF schematic pages 42, 43 of TM 11-4001 available at Radionerds.com site.
If someone wants to try this, i will mail this unused IF can for price of postage.
