Which version?
How far are you along in the restoration, Bill?
Cap and resistor changes yet?
I've done strip-down rebuilds on three of
these and they are excellent once done.

Assuming a version later than TCS-8/
Do you have B+ voltage on V202 pin 4 and screen
voltage on V204 pin 6? If not, you need a jumper
on the main power connector between pins 2 and 3.
These are the muting contacts.
If you have B+ on V202 pin 4 but no screen
voltage on V201 pin 4 or V204 pin 4, disconnect
C205B and see if you now have screen voltage
at these points. If so, C205B is shorted. If not,
R217 and/or R231 are open (which will happen
if C205B shorts). This assumes no wires have
been hacked or whacked by a previous owner.
With the rear and bottom of the radio facing you,
C205 is the one nearest V201 and B is the connection
on the left.
The left-hand module closest to the rear is IF#1.
R217 and R231 on on the vertical mounting
board. R231 is the one mounted diagonal
and 217 is the one mounted straight on the
back of the board.
