Not sure about this, but I think many SNJs started out life as
an AT-6 and were transferred to the Navy. Baugher's serial number
page lists many AT-6s with both AAF serial numbers and Navy
serial numbers.

If true, I could see where the Navy would think it would be
easier to keep the Army radios, rather than install Navy
types.

I have a BD-AR-93 dynamotor with an NAS JAX overhaul
sticker dated 1950.
