This particular flex cable came to me in a large lot of RUGF equipment and pieces. I have been carrying it around too long, since the mid 1980s, and it's high time
to do something with it. I understand that it perfectly fits the SCR-183/283 set as well. as seen in the SNF photo, but i was puzzled how such a short piece could be
useful. Now i know.

Mike, the photos show parts of USAAF equipment that appears to be:

- SCR-AR-183 (BC-AR-230 transmitter, BC-AR-229 receiver with C-379 coil set,
     MC-125-A tuner, MC-282 200-400/2500-4700 remote dial, MC-124 cable, etc.)
- RC-32 beam filter and (maybe) RC-34 interphone.

Why would this second-string USAAF gear be on a USN SNJ-4?

The type of cable that Hue mentions was used on many many different radio sets. I would guess that its use with an RU would be no more likely than its use with any other of many sets.
