[Milsurplus] Serial vs. Parallel Collectors

John Baumann said to me, "You guys with the big collections are 'parallel collectors'. I'm a 'serial collector'. If you had photos of all
the equipment I have had, it would be a tremendous number and variety off all  kinds of gear. But I go at each one with intensity, and
then I get rid of it and move on to the next project."
"So you clear the books and then move right on?",  I asked.
"That's it",  he replied.
"This," I said, "is an unusual condition and exception to the rule: I mean, here the throughput is higher in serial mode than in parallel."
